THE CHAIN AND ITS PROPERTIES

Aloe, commonly known as aloe, aloe or acíbar, is a genus of succulent plants of the family Asphodelaceae, family disappeared in the most modern phylogenetic classifications (APG III, 2009), and its genera now included in the family Xanthorrhoeaceae. In the same way, before entering the family Asphodelaceae were in the one of Aloaceae (monogenérica) and Liliaceae (System of Cronquist, 1981). It has about 525 species accepted from the more than 1,000 described.2 It is native to the dry regions of Africa, Madagascar and the Middle East, although it has spread worldwide today.

Members of the genera Gasteria and Haworthia, which have a similar mode of growth, are sometimes cultivated and popularly known as aloes. Another family usually confused with the aloes are the agavaceous, but they differ from these in that their young leaves are not grouped conically, their escape is not terminal and the plant does not die after flowering.

Protects the liver (Glutathione): Aloe consumption promotes the production of glutathione in the liver. Glutathione is a super antioxidant which plays a critical role in the production of white blood cells (our defense against infectious and invading diseases).

Hydration and Skin: Polysaccharides in aloe contain hydrogen and other compounds that increase the hydration of epithelial cells. For one to be able to stay hydrated, one must consume enough hydrogen.
The sulfur present in aloe is similar to DMSO and MSM. These forms of sulfur are effective in hydrating strong dry tissue (damaged collagen, wrinkles, hardening of the organs, etc.), thus restoring elasticity and flexibility.
All these compounds have proven to be effective in increasing wound healing, reducing aging, and assisting in the rejuvenation of our joints, skin, brain, nervous system, kidneys, pancreas and liver.
Inflammation: Aloe is very effective in reducing inflammation. Studies with animals have shown aloe's ability to inhibit arthritis, edema and inflammation. As well as promoting the healing of damaged tissue.
Cholesterol, HDL, and triglycerides: In a 5-year study of 5,000 patients, it was shown that consumption of aloe and psyllium fiber markedly lowered serum cholesterol and triglycerides and total lipids while healthy HDL increased.
Other polysaccharides: Mannose (mannose) is a group of sugars bonded together in aloe, which includes acemannan, acetylated polyman- nes, polymanose and APM. It has antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antiparasitic properties. Mannose also reduces inflammation.
Diabetes and Blood Sugar: Aloe gel has been shown to assist in normalizing blood sugar, helping to alleviate the symptoms of diabetes.
Better absorption and bioavailability of nutrients: Studies have shown that the internal consumption of aloe gel maintains a high level of certain important antioxidants such as vitamin C and E. It also increases the availability to the body and the absorption of nutrients available in the Food and supplements.
Combat Bladder Infections: Dry powder of aloe vera is an excellent product to combat chronic bladder infections. Take 750-1500 mg daily.
Health of the digestive system: Aloe helps in all diseases or problems of the digestive system and can assist in the recovery of digestive disorders such as colitis, ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome.
Combats candida and regulates pH: Mannose polysaccharides in aloe vera are effective in killing yeast (candida) and normalize body pH levels. This happens by supporting the presence of friendly bacteria (probiotics) in the digestive system.
Act Like a Prebiotic: Prebiotics increase the effectiveness of probiotics - they work as your food. This makes them work more efficiently. The polysaccharides are converted into oligosaccharides, which protect the mucosal lining of the digestive tract and have been shown to effectively combat the following organisms: Bordetella pertussis (the pertussis pathogen), E. coli, Helicobacter pylori and Streptococcus Penumoniae. (People with Chron's disease are deficient in oligosaccharides).
These are just some of the benefits of this plant. If we look at its nutritional profile and traditional use, we can appreciate many other benefits which have not yet been studied directly, but which are attributed to its various nutrients. So if you are interested in this plant, do not forget to research further and expand on the subject, as it can help in many other situations and conditions that I do not mention here.
