The ahuehuete is a tree that grows preferably in places near the water currents or in humid places. It belongs to the family of conifers and reaches up to 50 meters in height.
Properties: The firming of the leaves is used to cure the varicose veins and hemorrhoids. It also serves as a tonic for the heart, especially in cases of mitral valve insufficiency, congestion of the lungs, liver and kidney. It favors the removal of fluid retained in the body (edema), decreases hypertension, relieves coughing, difficulty breathing and diarrhea. Applied the leaves in poultice, it favors the cicatrization of the wounds.
How to use: Take 3 to 4 days to cook 3 grams of leaves for 100 grs. of water. To heal wounds and ulcers, place the leaves in the form of poultice on the affected part.
