Its essential oil is rich in limonene, eugenol and anetol, among others, which give it carminative action, so it is very appropriate in cases of flatulence and gastric acidity caused by difficult digestion.

Its content in coumarins, flavonoids and caffeic and chlorogenic acids give it properties like lactogogue, that is, it increases the formation of breast milk.

Also noteworthy is its popular use as a moderate diuretic, used in mild cases of edema, fluid retention and small changes in blood pressure.

It is used in cases of dyspepsias, meteorisms and digestive spasms, in heavy and slow digestions.
Cleaning and disinfection of wounds, burns and dermal ulcerations. Tonic of the digestive tract.
